The wealth of Russian billionaires significantly increased in 2025

2025 was recorded as a successful year for Russia's wealthiest individuals. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
According to Bloomberg's "Billionaires Index," the total wealth of Russian billionaires increased by 23.8 billion dollars within a year. This growth was not due to one or two entrepreneurs, but rather the increase in the value of financial assets of several major businessmen.
Alisher Usmanov was among the entrepreneurs who gained the most wealth in 2025. The founder of the company "Metalloinvest," Usmanov's wealth increased by 6.04 billion dollars, reaching 19.3 billion dollars.
He ended the year with a significant financial achievement. Additionally, the wealth of Iskander Makhmudov, the founder of the Ural Mining and Metallurgical Company, also grew significantly.
He added 4.75 billion dollars, bringing his total wealth to 7.88 billion dollars. Notable successes were also recorded in the fields of technology and trading platforms.
Telegram founder Pavel Durov's wealth increased by 3.38 billion dollars, reaching 14.4 billion dollars. Wildberries founder Tatyana Kim added 515 million dollars in income, bringing her total wealth to 7.89 billion dollars.
However, 2025 was not successful for everyone. Mikhail Fridman lost 4.7 billion dollars over the year, reducing his wealth to 10.1 billion dollars.
In conclusion, although the total wealth of Russian billionaires significantly increased in 2025, the year was difficult for some entrepreneurs. While market conditions brought substantial profits to some, they caused losses for others.
