A case has been initiated regarding the increase in propane prices

The Competition Committee of Uzbekistan has initiated a case against certain companies for the unjustified increase in propane prices. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
According to the Committee, in November–December 2025, market participants were warned not to artificially raise prices due to temporary restrictions on methane. However, signs of artificial price manipulation and coordinated actions were detected in some companies.
These situations were assessed as contrary to the principles of fair competition. Therefore, the Competition Committee has started the relevant investigations and formalized the documents.
Additionally, the Committee is taking measures to stabilize propane prices. In particular, instructions have been sent to trading participants to supply gas in full volume and uniformly during exchange trades.
These actions are aimed at regulating the market and preventing unjustified price increases.
