It is planned to introduce artificial intelligence technologies in the religious and educational field in Kazakhstan. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
It was announced that the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of Kazakhstan is working on developing a mobile application called “Imam AI” based on artificial intelligence. This project is expected to be launched in 2026.
This was reported by the Orda.kz publication. According to information provided by Nauryzbay Khoja Taganuli, the Supreme Mufti of Kazakhstan, “Imam AI” is designed to provide quick and accurate answers to users' religious questions.
The application operates based on reliable religious sources and is being developed taking into account modern requirements. This project aims to provide citizens with convenient and trustworthy services on religious matters.
Additionally, this new technology will help reduce the workload of imams and clergy. The President of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, declared 2026 as the Year of Digitalization and Development of Artificial Intelligence Infrastructure.
The President emphasized that the introduction of advanced technologies will serve to enhance the potential of the country in all sectors. It is worth noting that earlier, the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of Uzbekistan stated that it is not permissible to ask religious questions using artificial intelligence.
