A patient diagnosed with lung cancer lived for 40 years

The life of Greek Stamatis Moraitis is recognized as one of the rare phenomena in the field of medicine. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
Despite being in the final stage of lung cancer, he lived for about 40 years. This event was reported by foreign media, including the “Daily Express.”
According to information, Stamatis Moraitis lived in the USA and was diagnosed with lung cancer nearly 40 years ago. Doctors said his life would not exceed a few months, but this prediction did not come true.
After the diagnosis, instead of continuing treatment, he decided to return to his homeland — Ikaria Island, famous for its long-living population. There, he began to live a peaceful and calm life.
In Ikaria, he lived close to nature, grew vegetables, tended vineyards, and spent much time with his loved ones. Stress, hurry, and nervousness completely disappeared from his life.
Moraitis’s health gradually improved. Years later, he returned to the USA and wanted to find out the reasons for the changes in his health.
However, upon arrival, he learned that the doctors who diagnosed him had already passed away. Researchers began to study this case.
According to “National Geographic” expert Dan Buettner, the main reasons for Moraitis’s longevity were reduced stress, natural nutrition, and a calm lifestyle. This event once again confirms how important a healthy lifestyle and inner peace are for human health.
