Man who was fired because of his cat won the court case
An incident in Finland where a man received a temporary disability certificate due to losing his pet cat has attracted public attention. This was reported by Zamin.uz.

According to the information, the cat suffered from a serious illness and had to be euthanized. The cat's death was a psychological shock for the man, so he submitted a sick leave certificate and medical documentation to his workplace.

However, the employer did not accept this situation as a "valid reason." The company management rejected the documents and demanded the employee to "either return to work or resign."

The man was forced to return to work under pressure, but was later dismissed on the grounds of "absence from work without valid reasons." After that, he appealed to the district court in Tampere.

The court ruled in favor of the employee and ordered the company to pay him more than 40,000 euros. This amount included compensation, payment for the sick leave period, and court expenses.

Unfortunately, the man passed away before the court decision was announced. The court decided to include the funds in his inheritance.
