A man who sued for his cat was paid 40 thousand euros
In Finland, a man received a temporary disability certificate due to the death of his cat. This was reported by Zamin.uz.

This situation sparked various debates in society. Some considered it a psychological trauma and natural grief, while others prioritized work discipline.

The cat had to be euthanized due to a serious illness. After this incident, the man submitted a sick leave certificate and medical report to his workplace.

However, the employer did not accept these documents as a valid reason. As a result, the manager offered him the choice to either return to work or resign.

Although the man returned to work out of fear, he was later dismissed on the grounds of "unexcused absence from work." After that, the man appealed to the district court in Tampere.

The court ruled in his favor and forced the employer to pay more than 40 thousand euros. This amount included compensation for the employee, payment for the sick period, and court costs.

Unfortunately, the man passed away before the court decision was announced. As a result, the court decided to include this amount in his inheritance.
