The head of the Chechen Republic, Ramzan Kadyrov, clarified various speculations and rumors that have emerged on social media in recent days. He announced that the issue of his potential resignation was discussed during a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin. He made this statement through his personal Telegram channel.
Kadyrov emphasized that Putin addressed the rumors circulating on the internet and quoted the famous American writer Mark Twain: “The reports of my death are greatly exaggerated.” With these words, he indicated that the discussions about Kadyrov's resignation have been overly inflated.
The Chechen leader paid special attention to Putin's statement that "there are many tasks yet to be accomplished." He stated that he is ready to unconditionally carry out the orders of the head of state.
It is worth noting that a day ago, Kadyrov commented on reports about his possible resignation during an interview with journalists. He mentioned that he feels tired and that there is a possibility of leaving his position in the near future.
At the same time, he stressed that only Russian President Vladimir Putin can make the final decision regarding the situation. This indicates Kadyrov's loyalty to the hierarchy within political power rather than his personal desire.
Currently, no official decision has been made regarding Kadyrov's future. However, discussions surrounding this issue remain at the center of attention on the Russian political scene. Putin's current statement that "there is a lot to be done" may suggest that Kadyrov will remain in his position for now.
