Pavel Durov criticized the French government for opposing freedom
Telegram messenger founder Pavel Durov criticized the French government's strict stance towards social networks. This was reported by Zamin.uz.

According to him, the French police are currently conducting searches at the X social network's office in Paris. In Durov's opinion, France is the only country in the world trying to hold platforms like Telegram, X, and TikTok criminally responsible while these platforms strive to ensure freedom.

Pavel Durov said the following on this matter: "Don't be mistaken, this is not a free country." He emphasized that such actions are aimed at putting pressure on the activities of social networks. According to reports, the Telegram founder was detained at Paris airport in August 2024.

This incident occurred within the framework of an investigation related to insufficient content control on the Telegram platform and lack of cooperation with French law enforcement agencies. Durov's reaction to this situation is focused on protecting the freedom of social networks.
