Germans consider the USA a threat to world peace

Among the German population, views on the US as a state threatening world peace are changing. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
Results of a social survey conducted by the Allensbach Institute showed that concerns in German society have increased and approaches to the geopolitical situation are evolving. According to the survey results, 65 percent of Germans assessed the US as the greatest threat to global stability.
This figure was 46 percent in 2025 and 24 percent in 2024. These numbers indicate a declining trust in US foreign policy.
Additionally, confidence in alliance within NATO has also decreased. Only 32 percent of respondents believe that the US would assist if Europe were attacked.
Russia remains the main source of threat for the German population. Eighty-one percent of survey participants identified Russia as a threat to peace.
China was also mentioned as a threat, with 46 percent of respondents considering it a dangerous state. However, despite the increase in external threats, most Germans do not believe that Germany will be drawn into the vortex of war.
Forty-five percent of respondents rated the likelihood of war as very low, while only 28 percent expressed concern about armed conflict. Nevertheless, 49 percent of Germans emphasized that they would not leave their homeland even in difficult situations, indicating that a sense of patriotism remains in society.
This survey was conducted among over a thousand respondents aged 16 and older, highlighting the current pressing geopolitical risks. In your opinion, which country could pose a real threat to world peace?
