In Kyrgyzstan, Tashiyev's Resignation: The Political Arena is Changing

An unexpected change has occurred in the political arena of Kyrgyzstan — the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and Chairman of the State Committee for National Security, Kamchibek Tashiyev, has been relieved of his position. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
This decision has sparked various opinions and speculations among society and experts. Usually, decisions of this level are announced quietly, but this time the chain of events appears complex and multifaceted.
According to regional expert Arkady Dubnov, President Sadyr Japarov's dismissal of Tashiyev and his three deputies is an important signal. This decision is interpreted not as a simple personnel change, but as a measure aimed at severing points of influence within the system.
According to Dubnov's information, Tashiyev learned about his resignation while in a hospital in Munich. He regularly undergoes medical examinations due to heart-related issues.
It is said that before the presidential decision was announced, there was a tense telephone conversation between Tashiyev and Japarov. According to the official statement, this decision was made to strengthen unity within the state system.
However, later, presidential press secretary Askat Alagozov clarified the matter: the problem may not lie with Tashiyev himself, but with some close associates who, using his name, tried to influence various individuals. According to some information, persons close to Tashiyev exerted pressure on officials, attempting to sway them to their side.
This situation could seriously affect trust between state institutions. Dubnov emphasizes that some circles in Kyrgyzstan viewed Tashiyev as a candidate who could become the country's top leader.
These views are connected to the political changes of 2020 and the events of that period. However, the current decision has sharply changed the situation and increased the likelihood of a new era beginning in the security system.
The main question now is: was this decision truly made to strengthen unity within the state system, or is it aimed at reshaping competition within the elite? Answers to these questions will emerge over time.
But one thing is clear in politics: even if major figures leave the stage, no void remains — the scene is rebuilt.
