A person suspected of assaulting 89 girls in France is under investigation
A criminal case has been opened against a person suspected of sexually assaulting 89 minor girls across eight countries in France. This was reported by Zamin.uz.

The information was reported by the publication “Le Figaro.” It is known that this person committed sexual crimes from 1967 to 2022.

The suspect lived in France, Algeria, Switzerland, Germany, Niger, and other countries and worked temporarily as a teacher or youth camp leader. According to the prosecutor's office, the investigation began in January 2024 in the city of Grenoble, France.

During the investigation, a list of victims aged between 13 and 17 was compiled. To date, 89 victims have been recorded, of whom 40 have been identified.

Although most of the victims have filed complaints, none have officially come forward as plaintiffs yet. The prosecutor's office emphasized that the list of victims is incomplete and that their number may be higher.

The head of the investigation called on the victims to testify as soon as possible. Additionally, the prosecutor reminded that the statute of limitations has expired for crimes committed before 1993.

However, it was noted that the victims' assistance in the investigation and their contribution to clarifying the events is important. During the investigation, the suspect’s involvement in the deaths of two other people is also being examined.

He admitted to suffocating his mother, who suffered from cancer in 1974, and his 90-year-old aunt with a pillow in 1992.
