Marko Rubio: The idea of a "world without borders" has not proven itself

US Secretary of State Marco Rubio spoke at the Munich Security Conference, emphasizing the priority of the global order and stating that the idea of a "world without borders" has not proven itself in practice. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
According to him, the US is interested in Europe being strong and independent. Rubio noted that mass migration in Western countries has reached unprecedented levels, and this process poses a serious threat to social cohesion and the future of states.
He also emphasized that the US and its allies have not been able to adequately develop their defense capabilities because they have ceded part of their sovereignty to international institutions and prioritized social expenditures. The Secretary of State criticized the United Nations for having great potential but failing to offer effective solutions to current pressing issues.
In particular, it was mentioned that the UN has failed to stop the conflict in Ukraine, and that negotiations in this regard have mainly been conducted through US mediation.
