North Korean leader Kim Jong Un announced that he is prepared to send his country's military forces to combat any military aggression that may be carried out against Russia by the US or its allies.
"This is our brotherly and comradely duty, and I consider it sacred," said the North Korean leader during his visit to the Russian Federation's embassy in the DPRK on May 9.
According to Kim Jong Un, if the US is left unchecked, its dangerous and provocative actions may increase. He believes that in such a situation, South Korea, which is a close ally of the US, may also attempt to carry out similar actions as Washington's "partner."
"Such irrational actions can spread rapidly like a highly contagious virus," Kim Jong Un warned.
The North Korean leader regarded the participation of the country's military personnel in the conflict in Ukraine as a sovereign right and a just decision.
It is worth noting that yesterday, on May 9, Russia's ambassador to the DPRK, Alexander Matsegora, announced that memorials are being established in the Kursk region in honor of North Korean military personnel who "participated in the operation to liberate territories from the Ukrainian armed forces." Additionally, streets and squares restored in the Kursk region will be named after the North Korean soldiers who took part in these military operations.
