Thailand became a transit point for Chinese drones delivered to Russia

Thailand has become an important transit hub for the delivery of Chinese-made drones to Russia. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
According to Bloomberg agency data, since 2022, the trade volume in this direction has increased significantly. In the first 11 months of 2025, Russia purchased unmanned devices worth 125 million dollars through Thailand.
During the research, companies such as Skyhub Technologies Ltd. based in Bangkok were identified.
Although this company officially states that it is engaged in car rental services, in reality, it ranks second in the country for importing drones from China. It purchased products worth 25 million dollars from China's Autel Robotics company.
In addition, another company named China Thai Corp. imported drones worth 144 million dollars in 2025.
It was noted that its annual revenue increased 1800 times in a short period. This enterprise not only supplied drones but also delivered products like iPhones to Russian companies under sanctions.
The Thai customs authority stated that these export operations do not violate current legislation. Because when drones are imported into Thailand, it is not required to indicate the subsequent fate or purpose of the product.
Nevertheless, the Thai government has promised to investigate this issue. According to the US State Department data, 80 percent of the dual-use (civilian and military) products imported by Russia come from China.
Thailand remains one of the key links in this chain. This raises the question: how effective can international sanctions be if such circumvention routes exist?
