The publication, citing two sources, wrote that the strike might have been aimed at a facility related to the activities of the US Central Intelligence Agency. According to the information, two drones landed on the embassy grounds in Riyadh.

The US and Saudi Arabia confirmed the attack, but the intelligence center has not officially commented on being targeted. The Washington Post emphasized that it considers this incident an important outcome for Iran.

At the same time, independent confirmation has not been provided for some aspects of the claims. The US embassy in Riyadh announced that all consular meetings have been canceled due to the "attack on the facility."
