Uzbekistan delegation exchanged experience in the United Kingdom

A delegation led by Javdat Inog'omov, Deputy Chairman of the Association of Mahallas of Uzbekistan, made an official visit to the United Kingdom. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
During the visit, a meeting was held with representatives of the local government council of Brentwood town in Essex County. The meeting discussed improving the system of citizens' self-governance and exchanging experiences.
Detailed information was provided about the activities of the mahalla institution in Uzbekistan. In particular, the discussion focused on its role in resolving population issues, social support, and working with youth and women.
British experts highly appreciated the mahalla's closeness to the people and its importance in ensuring social unity. In turn, the Uzbek representatives studied the institutional governance, financial independence, and clear distribution of powers within the British system.
At the end of the dialogue, the parties agreed to continue systematic cooperation. Joint seminars and practical visits are planned for the future.
This cooperation serves to develop the local governance system based on international standards, as well as to effectively protect public interests.
