Melania Trump strongly denied having any connection with Epstein

Former US First Lady Melania Trump spoke at the White House, strongly denying any allegations of a connection to Jeffrey Epstein, who was known as a financier and criminal. Zamin.uz reported on this.
The Washington Post reported on the matter. Melania called the groundless claims made against her an outright lie and emphasized that these slanders must be stopped immediately.
She firmly stated that she had no connection to the serious crimes committed by Epstein against victims. Melania Trump described Epstein and his close associate Ghislaine Maxwell as merely superficial acquaintances.
According to her, they only happened to meet by chance at social events attended by herself and Donald Trump in the early 2000s. The US President's wife characterized attempts to damage her reputation as malicious slanders driven by vested interests and political goals.
Additionally, she called on Congress to hold special hearings to protect the interests of victims in the Epstein case. However, she refused to answer further questions from journalists.
US President Donald Trump, in a comment given to the MS NOW TV channel, said that prior to his wife's statement, he did not have sufficient information on this topic. He specifically emphasized that Melania did not know Epstein personally or closely.
Discussions regarding Melania's potential connections with Epstein had resurfaced since the beginning of this year. This was caused by the disclosure of an email sent to Ghislaine Maxwell in 2002.
In that letter, Melania referred to Maxwell briefly as "G," asked to meet upon her return to New York, and expressed positive feedback regarding photos published in a magazine. Melania Trump considers these correspondences to be simple and casual exchanges of letters.
She reaffirmed once again that she was not involved in any illegal activities or locations associated with Epstein. Debates surrounding this topic intensified after documents related to Epstein, who died during investigation in 2019, were later made public.
Although other significant geopolitical and economic events have shifted the focus slightly in recent months, Melania's statement has brought the issue back to the agenda. For now, it remains unknown how this conflict will conclude or if new evidence will emerge.
