Ugandan general demanded a billion dollars and a bride from Turkey

Muhoozi Kainerugaba, the son of the President of Uganda and a general of the country's defense forces, has made an unexpected and controversial statement regarding Turkey. Zamin.uz reported this.
According to India Today, the general demanded one billion dollars from the state of Turkey and that the most beautiful woman in the country be given to him in marriage on his social media page. After this unusual post caused widespread discussion in a short time, it was deleted by the author.
In his claims, Kainerugaba criticized Turkey's economic cooperation with Somalia, emphasizing that Uganda should also receive dividends from this process. The general threatened to sever diplomatic ties between the two countries and ban Turkish Airlines flights if his demands were not met.
It is known that Uganda has been participating in the fight against terrorist groups operating in Somali territory, and the general did not hide that he expects economic benefits in exchange for these services. This is not the first time the general has made a sensational statement.
In 2022, he caused a major political conflict by stating that he could capture the capital of Kenya in a short period. In that situation, the President of Uganda was forced to officially apologize on behalf of his son.
Additionally, Kainerugaba is distinguished by his unique views on international politics. For example, he stated that Uganda is ready to side with Israel and participate in military operations against Iran's actions involving the US and Israel.
Overall, Muhoozi Kainerugaba's statements often cause sharp reactions and misunderstandings in the international arena. Such outbursts, which contradict the rules of diplomatic ethics, raise serious questions about Uganda's foreign policy.
Political analysts express concern that such actions by the general could negatively impact interstate relations. So far, neither the Ugandan government nor the Turkish side has issued an official response to this incident.
