Robert Fitso criticized the European Union's policy against Russia

Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico strongly criticized the European Union's policy toward Russia. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
In his opinion, the Western countries' strategy aimed at weakening Russia is not yielding the expected results and is proving to be ineffective in practice. The politician emphasized that the European Union is not sufficiently promoting initiatives to restore peace in the current situation.
The current approach is primarily based on the idea of exerting pressure on Russia and bringing it to a weak economic and political state. Fico stated that such a path is wrong and will not lead to real political solutions.
The Slovak leader also criticized the rhetoric of bringing the Russian people to their knees. Citing the character of the Russian people, he emphasized their spiritual and volitional strength.
According to Fico, the strategy to bring Russia to its knees will not work because Russians are known for their resilience. In his words, if Russians are on their knees, it only means they have bent down to tie their shoelaces.
In conclusion, Robert Fico emphasized that the European Union's policy of pressuring Russia by supporting Ukraine is incorrect. In his view, to achieve peace, it is necessary to abandon the weakening strategy and seek ways for dialogue and agreement.
