This unpleasant news was disseminated by his press service through official pages on social networks. According to the official statement, the senator passed away on the evening of Saturday, July 11, as a result of a brief and sudden severe illness.

Senator Graham's close relatives and family members expressed their sincere gratitude for the condolences and support expressed by the public during these difficult times. At the same time, they asked for respect for the family's privacy and requested not to be disturbed during this sad moment.

United States President Donald Trump also expressed his reaction to the death of the prominent politician. The head of state described Lindsey Graham as one of the greatest people he knew and a highly skilled senator.

Trump emphasized that Graham always worked selflessly for the interests of the country and showed a true example of patriotism for America. It was noted that the senator's death is a great loss for the entire state.

Local mass media, particularly prestigious television channels, revealed the details of the incident based on information from law enforcement agencies. According to them, emergency medical personnel arrived at the senator's home following an urgent call regarding cardiac arrest, but despite the measures taken, it was not possible to save his life.

It is worth mentioning that Lindsey Graham was born in 1955. He was active in the political arena for many years and had been serving as a member of the US Senate from the state of South Carolina since January 2003.

Additionally, starting from January 2025, he held the responsible position of Chairman of the Senate Budget Committee, playing an important role in the country's economic policy. His death was received with deep sorrow in US political circles.
