European Union countries turned back the clock to winter time

European Union countries switched to winter time by moving the clocks back one hour on the night of October 25. One.uz reports this.
In Brussels, the clock was set back from 03:00 to 02:00. This change is carried out on the last Sundays of March and October based on the only rule that has been in effect in the European Union since 1996.
The issue of abolition In 2019, the European Parliament supported a proposal to abolish the practice of changing time. However, the Union countries have not yet reached a single decision on this matter.
Therefore, the procedure of changing time twice a year is still maintained. Time zones There are three time zones in the European Union territory.
Greenwich Mean Time is used in Ireland and Portugal. Eastern European Time, which is two hours ahead of Greenwich Mean Time, applies in eight countries including Finland and the Baltic states.
In the remaining countries, including Germany, Central European Time is used, which is one hour ahead of Greenwich Mean Time.
