Scientists from the USA and Japan have developed a unique artificial intelligence algorithm that can predict earthquakes several days before they occur. According to the researchers, the system analyzes seismic activity, the stress levels in the Earth's crust, and even changes in the Earth's magnetic field.
Tests have shown that the model was able to accurately predict several tremors in the Pacific Ring of Fire, including the recent 6.7 magnitude earthquake in Japan. Now experts plan to implement this technology into early warning systems, which will help significantly reduce losses among the population.
If the predictions continue to be validated, this could be a real breakthrough in seismology and saving lives!
