According to Iranian officials, Israel should take responsibility for the assassination attempt on the country's president, Masoud Pezeshkian. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
He stated this in an interview with Al Jazeera. President Pezeshkian had previously mentioned an assassination attempt against him.
This attack occurred during a 12-day military confrontation. According to reports, at that time, the state leader was in a meeting discussing how to respond to Israeli attacks.
According to media reports, Israeli aviation struck the building where the Iranian Supreme National Security Council meeting was taking place. Sources compare this operation to the assassination of Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah.
During the attack, Israeli planes targeted the entrances and exits of the building, blocking evacuation routes. Officials managed to escape the building through an emergency exit.
At the same time, it is reported that Pezeshkian sustained an injury to his leg. According to the Iranian official, this attack is part of Israel's plan to disrupt the political system within the country.
Additionally, Pezeshkian emphasized that there is no connection of the United States to this incident.
