An American man swallowed earrings worth $770,000 (video)

Florida state police reported that a man who stole $769,500 earrings from a Tiffany & Co. jewelry store has been arrested after swallowing them.
According to police, 32-year-old Jayton Gilder told store employees he was ordering for a "professional athlete" and asked them to show him the expensive items.
Caught while swallowing the earrings
Police believe he stole the earrings and fled the store. He was arrested on the same day the incident occurred, and it was noted that Gilder swallowed several items during the arrest. Among them could be the stolen earrings.
He was also reportedly planning to steal a diamond ring from the store but may have dropped it while trying to escape.
Police conducted an X-ray examination
After his arrest, police officers used an X-ray machine to determine that there was an unidentified object in his stomach. However, in response to a BBC inquiry, the police declined to provide information on whether the earrings were recovered.
Gilder had previously stolen from a Tiffany & Co. store
Reports indicate that Gilder also committed theft at a Tiffany & Co. store in Texas in 2022. He also has 48 arrest warrants in the state of Colorado.
He has been charged with wearing a mask to commit theft and stealing a large amount of valuable items. Gilder has the right to consider himself innocent until a court decision is made
