
China's BYD company is making extensive plans to capture the European market, according to cenyavto.com. The company is already building a large car factory in Hungary, which will have an annual production capacity of 350,000 cars. Additionally, another factory is planned to be launched in Turkey in 2026. However, BYD is currently working on entering the global market and today it officially started sales in Kazakhstan.
The company introduced the Han EV electric sedan and the Song Plus hybrid crossover to the local market. According to officials, all models have been adapted to climate and road conditions. The Han EV has recently been produced in an updated version with a high-quality battery. This model is sold in China at a price equivalent to approximately 2.28 million rubles.
The standard version of the Han EV is equipped with an electric motor with 204 horsepower, providing 310 N*m of torque. This model has a battery with a range of 506 km. In subsequent versions, an electric motor with 228 horsepower will be offered, equipped with a new 800-volt fast charging technology battery. This model has a range of 605 km. The highest trim version features an electric motor with 245 horsepower, with a range of 245 km.
The Song Plus crossover is equipped with a hybrid system based on a 1.5-liter internal combustion engine and an electric motor with 197 horsepower. The electric version will also have 204 horsepower.
