A full paid parking system will be implemented in Tashkent starting from July 2025
Paid parking lots will start operating in Tashkent on a trial basis, according to Autostrada.uz. During a briefing held at the Tashkent city administration on March 12, a representative of "Tashkent Invest" provided information about the planned paid parking system in the capital.

It is expected that more than 200,000 paid parking spaces will be established throughout the city. This aims to reduce traffic congestion and increase the average speed from 37 km/h to 42 km/h.

In the first phase of the project, 86 zones will be established, designed for 13,000 to 14,000 vehicles. The first paid parking lots will be launched in the Mirabad and Yakkasaray districts in March. The full implementation of the system is planned for July 2025.

Parking fees will vary: 5,000, 8,000, 10,000, or 12,000 soums per hour, with a maximum price of 30,000 soums (set by the Ministry of Economy and Finance).

As a result of establishing 250 parking spaces on Sayid Baraka Street, congestion is expected to decrease by 18% and traffic speed will increase.

To monitor payments, video cameras, tablet inspectors, and patrol cars will be involved. Importantly, fines for non-payment will only be applied starting from 2026.
