Tesla is recalling its Cybertruck model due to an issue with the roof, according to speedme.ru. A total of 46,096 Cybertruck vehicles sold from November 2023 to February 2025 are being called back for service. The reason is that the decorative panel on the roof may detach during driving.
To resolve the issue, the company has proposed stronger adhesive and additional reinforcement through bolts and nuts. However, some owners who received their vehicles back were shocked upon inspection.
Photos circulating on the internet show rough welding, misaligned nuts, and panels that do not match the body line. This does not resemble a premium electric vehicle costing $80,000, but rather a car made with "cosmetic" fixes in a workshop.
The Cybertruck was already known for quality and assembly issues. Panel gaps, defects, and even a federal tax incentive of $7,500 did not help in popularizing the model.
