What changes are occurring in car prices in Uzbekistan?

The trend of decreasing prices for local cars and electric vehicles in the secondary car market continued in January 2025.

The prices of cars in the secondary market were analyzed by specialists from the Macroeconomic and Regional Research Institute (MHTI) under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan in January 2025.

Changes in the prices of local popular cars:

In January of this year, the prices of local popular cars decreased compared to December 2024. Specifically:

- "Onix": less used - decreased by 2.4% ($14,350 to $14,000), more used - decreased by 1.5% ($13,000 to $12,800);

- "Lacetti": less used - decreased by 0.7% ($15,000 to $14,900), moderately used - decreased by 1.4% ($14,500 to $14,300), more used - decreased by 1.7% ($13,327 to $13,095);

- "Cobalt": less used - decreased by 1.4% ($12,901 to $12,725), moderately used - decreased by 2.4% ($12,300 to $12,000), more used - decreased by 1.7% ($11,700 to $11,500);

- “Nexia”: moderately used - decreased by 1.8% ($11,400 to $11,200); more used - decreased ($10,500 to $10,465);

- "Spark": moderately used - decreased by 1% ($10,300 to $10,200), more used - decreased by 1.1% ($9,300 to $9,200);

- "Damas": less used - decreased by 0.5% ($8,135 to $8,098), moderately used - decreased by 1.4% ($8,000 to $7,886), more used - decreased by 4.1% ($7,300 to $7,000).

Changes in the prices of local luxury cars:

While an increase in the average prices of less used "Equinox" and "Malibu" cars was observed, the prices for moderately and more used ones continued to decrease. Specifically:

- "Malibu": moderately used - decreased by 2.1% ($29,100 to $28,500), more used - decreased by 1.6% ($25,000 to $24,600), while the average price for less used increased by 1.2% ($29,650 to $30,000);

- "Equinox": moderately used - decreased by 1.6% ($30,500 to $30,000), while the average price for more used remained unchanged ($26,500), and for less used increased by 0.9% ($34,000 to $34,308);

- "Tracker": less used - decreased by 1.6% ($18,700 to $18,403), moderately used - decreased by 2.3% ($17,700 to $17,300), more used - decreased by 2.9% ($17,000 to $16,500).

Changes in electric vehicle prices:

During this period, the prices of more used BYD "E2": ($15,250) and "Yuan Up" ($20,000) electric vehicles remained unchanged, while other electric vehicles showed a decrease in average prices:

- BYD "E2": new - decreased by 1.8% ($17,100 to $16,800), moderately used - decreased by 2.9% ($15,970 to $15,500);

- BYD "Han": new - decreased by 0.9% ($32,500 to $32,200), more used - decreased by 2.9% ($31,750 to $31,250);

- BYD "Song Plus DM-i Champion": new - decreased by 0.3% ($29,100 to $29,000), moderately used - decreased by 1.1% ($27,200 to $26,900), more used - decreased by 2.8% ($24,999 to $24,300);

- BYD "Song Plus EV Champion": new - decreased by 1.4% ($28,500 to $28,090), moderately used - decreased by 3.6% ($26,600 to $25,650), more used - decreased by 2.9% ($24,050 to $23,350).

Changes in foreign car prices:

- "Elantra": moderately used - decreased by 2.3% ($21,500 to $21,000); more used - decreased by 4.8% ($21,000 to $19,995);

- "Tucson": less used - decreased by 1.5% ($33,500 to $33,000), moderately used - decreased by 0.8% ($31,750 to $31,500); more used - decreased by 2.0% ($25,500 to $25,000);

- "Sportage": less used - decreased by 1.4% ($29,000 to $28,600), moderately used - decreased by 1.8% ($27,500 to $27,000);

- "Seltos": more used - decreased by 2.1% ($23,500 to $23,000).
