The budget-friendly Honda City travels over 1000 km

Honda has updated its budget-class City sedan, making it capable of covering over 1000 kilometers on a single tank of fuel, according to daily-motor.ru.

The new hybrid model features an e:HEV system, consisting of a 1.5-liter i-VTEC gasoline engine and two electric motors. The car operates at low speeds using electric power, while the gasoline engine only activates during acceleration or climbing.

The fuel consumption is just 3.7 liters/100 km, allowing the car to travel 1072.7 km without stopping.

This system was previously used in the Fit model produced for China and has been included in the list of the most fuel-efficient cars.

Currently, this version of the Honda City is only sold in Malaysia, but it is expected to enter Southeast Asian markets soon.
