BMW to Unveil Updated Electric Sedan in Beijing

The world-renowned German concern BMW plans to present its updated i3 electric sedan to the general public at the Beijing International Automotive Exhibition. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
This model was designed specifically with the needs of the Chinese market in mind, and its main distinguishing feature is a significantly extended wheelbase. According to reports, the car's base has been extended to three meters, which is 100 millimeters more than previous models.
Such dimensions surprise experts as they even exceed the size of the 5-series sedans. A number of significant changes have also been made to the exterior of the new electric vehicle.
In particular, in accordance with new safety requirements introduced in China, the car is equipped with traditional door handles instead of modern flush-mounted ones. This change is intended to make it easier to open the doors in emergency situations.
Additionally, special decorative lighting elements that activate when the car is started and a new interior finish give it a unique charm. German engineers have also achieved high results in terms of technical capabilities.
According to special testing standards, the new sedan features a high-capacity battery system capable of traveling more than a thousand kilometers on a single full charge. The car fully supports fast charging technology of up to 400 kilowatts.
According to manufacturer representatives, just ten minutes of charging allows the car to store enough energy to travel four hundred kilometers. These figures are expected to usher in a new era in the electric vehicle market.
