Elon Musk says the new Roadster will be the last model with a steering wheel

Tesla CEO Elon Musk has revealed unexpected details about the next-generation Roadster model. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
At the recently held quarterly earnings conference, Musk specifically emphasized that this electric vehicle will be the company's last manually driven car — that is, with a steering wheel. All future models are planned to transition to a fully autonomous driving system, signaling the beginning of a new era in the automotive industry.
The new Roadster is expected to have impressive technical specifications. This vehicle, equipped with SpaceX rocket technologies, will be able to accelerate to 100 kilometers per hour in just over one second.
In his earlier interviews, Musk also mentioned that there is an intention to even make the car hover in the air. At present, engineers are working seriously to fully ensure safety measures in this complex process.
Despite the project being delayed for a long time, its official presentation is expected in the coming months. The vehicle's starting price has been set at two hundred thousand dollars.
For special edition models, buyers are required to make a significantly higher prepayment. Notably, some customers made this payment back in 2017 and have been eagerly awaiting their cars for nearly ten years.
According to the company's plans, mass production of the Roadster model will not begin before 2027. This project remains the most complex and most time-consuming development in Tesla's history.
Currently, specialists are conducting numerous tests and inspections to ensure that no technical problems arise during the presentation. This electric vehicle is expected to amaze the world community not only with its speed but also with its technological solutions.
