Credit benefits will be introduced for those who exchange their old car for a new one

A new plan of measures aimed at regulating the car market in our country and protecting the environment has been approved by the Government of Uzbekistan. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
According to it, from 1 August 2026, benefits will be introduced for individuals and legal entities who hand over old motor vehicles for new ones, that is, within the framework of the trade-in programme. When such persons take out a loan from a bank to purchase a new car, part of the interest payments will be covered by the state.
The main goal of this initiative is to encourage the population to give up old and faulty vehicles and to ensure environmental sustainability in our country. At the same time, this programme serves to reduce the expenses of citizens when transitioning to new and modern vehicles.
This, in turn, makes it possible to significantly ease the financial burden on the population. In addition, important changes are also expected with regard to the systematic regulation of traffic in our capital.
In particular, by the end of 2026, within the Ecological Transport System, the territory of Tashkent city will be divided into red, yellow and green zones. The work on such zoning will be carried out for the purpose of ensuring environmental safety and rationally managing traffic flow.
Through this new system, optimization of traffic flow within the city, reduction of the level of air pollution and reduction of traffic jams on the roads are envisaged. Such an approach will help to create a convenient and safe environment for the residents and guests of the capital.
These reforms are expected to be one of the important steps on the path of forming a modern transport infrastructure in our country.
