The state will pay compensation for electric vehicle charging stations

In Uzbekistan, a new system of benefits is being introduced in order to popularize environmentally friendly vehicles and to develop the infrastructure necessary for their use. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
According to the new procedure adopted by the government, part of the cost of electricity consumed at electric vehicle charging stations will be covered by the state. In particular, the part of the cost of each kilowatt-hour of electricity consumed at charging stations exceeding 300 soums will be compensated from State Budget funds.
This measure will allow industry representatives to reduce costs and increase the quality of service. At the same time, financial mechanisms are also being established to support entrepreneurs intending to expand the network of charging points for electric vehicles.
From now on, for projects to set up such stations, entrepreneurs are envisaged to be allocated targeted loans at an annual rate of 10 percent. These soft loans create great convenience for business representatives in introducing new technologies and purchasing modern charging equipment.
This, in turn, will serve to increase the number of service points for electric vehicles on the roads. Another important innovation aimed at developing the industry is related to the land plots allocated for the construction of charging stations.
It is planned that the starting price of land plots offered at auctions for the construction of these facilities will be set at twice as low as their current market price. The provision of land plots at reduced prices will increase the interest of investors in this sector and accelerate the process of building new charging points.
Such a systematic approach is considered one of the important steps on the path of the country's transition to a green economy and the preservation of environmental cleanliness.
