JLR Group to Launch New Crossover Instead of Range Rover Velar

Britain's famous JLR concern is preparing to introduce a completely new crossover that will take the place of one of its most popular models, the Range Rover Velar. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
This new vehicle is one of the most important projects for the brand in recent years, and it is expected to compete effectively in the global market with influential rivals such as the BMW iX3, Mercedes-Benz GLC, and Volvo EX60. The new model promises to bring significant changes to the segment, not only in appearance but also in technical capabilities.
According to information from influential publications, the new crossover is currently undergoing the final stage of testing. Its official presentation is scheduled to take place within the next six months.
This model will be the company's long-awaited update following the Range Rover Sport, which was showcased in 2022. Although the manufacturer is currently focusing its main attention on the Range Rover Electric and Jaguar Type 01 models, which are expected to be unveiled by the end of the year, it is precisely the Velar successor that will carry out the main task of increasing sales volume.
The new generation crossover will be one of the first models built on the company's specially developed EMA platform. Initially, this architecture was designed exclusively for electric-powered vehicles, but due to changes in global market demand and needs, the company has introduced certain adjustments to it.
Today, this platform allows not only the production of fully electric vehicles but also those with hybrid systems. Company management has stated that all future Jaguar models will operate solely on electric energy, while the Range Rover family will retain the option of choice for customers.
For this reason, the new crossover will be offered both in a fully electric version and in modern hybrid variants based on an internal combustion engine. This is also very important for regions like Uzbekistan, where infrastructure is still developing, as hybrid models create additional convenience for drivers traveling long distances.
According to the manufacturers, the hybrid system being developed for the new model is absolutely unique and fundamentally differs from the conventional engines currently available. Specialists estimate that this system will ensure high efficiency and low fuel consumption.
This will take the ecological purity and economy of Range Rover models to a new level. After this crossover, an expansion of the Defender lineup is also expected.
In particular, the Defender Sport model, which is estimated to be more affordable and accessible, will also be manufactured on the newly mentioned platform. Through this strategy, the company aims to strengthen its position in the SUV market and attract customers with diverse needs.
In summary, the successor to the Range Rover Velar will become a key model that inaugurates a new era in the brand's history.
