Bentley to debut its first electric vehicle in September
Bentley, the British manufacturer of luxurious cars, is preparing to officially unveil its first fully electric model — the Torcal — marking a historic milestone in the brand’s history. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
According to the company’s press service, the world premiere of the new electric vehicle will take place on September 23 in London, signaling the beginning of a completely new era for the legendary brand.
Representatives of the global automotive industry are eagerly awaiting this news. As emphasized by Bentley CEO Frank-Steffen Valliser, the Torcal model will set new standards across all key areas for the brand.
According to him, this project is expected to become the most thoroughly planned and technically flawless car in Bentley’s history. This step is considered a significant part of the brand’s global electrification strategy.
The company aims to transition fully to environmentally clean transportation in the future. The name of the new model was chosen in loyalty to Bentley’s traditions.
The name Torcal is derived from El Torcal de Antequera, a natural reserve in Spain, famous for its unique limestone formations. At the same time, the name harmonizes with the Latin word for torque, hinting at the electric vehicle’s high dynamic capabilities.
The Torcal will take its place alongside renowned Bentley models such as the Bentayga and the Batur. Earlier, test prototypes of this model had been shown to specialists on several occasions.
The vehicle underwent rigorous testing in extreme cold conditions within the Arctic Circle and on famous mountain passes in Germany. Externally, the car features a stone-like finish and distinctive lines that catch the eye.
Inside, Bentley has integrated modern technologies while preserving the brand’s traditional luxury. The cabin, trimmed luxury. The interior, adorned with red leather and premium materials, features large digital displays and brand-specific mechanical control buttons, offering customers a high level of comfort.
According to Bentley representatives, although this is a completely new concept, the car will retain the values the brand has cultivated over more than a century. That is, handcrafted luxurious details and unmatched power will remain the foundation of the Torcal model.
