The procedure for removing a vehicle from the impound lot will be fully digitized

Starting August 1 this year, the process of returning vehicles from impound lots in Uzbekistan will be fully digitized. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
Based on a relevant decision of the Cabinet of Ministers, obtaining a permit to retrieve a vehicle and completing all accounting procedures will now be done electronically, without human involvement. Under the new procedure, permits will be issued exclusively through a specialized information system called the Impound Lot.
Drivers will only need to present a special QR code generated by the system to retrieve their vehicle from the impound lot. The platform, developed in cooperation with the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the State Tax Committee, and the Ministry of Digital Technologies, will be fully integrated with the database of tax authorities.
Once the systems are interconnected, data on each vehicle placed in the impound lot will be automatically reflected in the tax system. This will ensure transparency in the sector and help prevent illegal payments.
The updated system will store key information about each vehicle, including its make, state license plate, and the exact times of entry and exit from the impound lot. Additionally, the amount paid for services rendered and all requisites of the impound lot operator will be openly displayed.
This procedure will enable strict oversight of accounting activities at impound lots and consolidate vehicle movement data into a single database. These changes will eliminate unnecessary paperwork and time losses for drivers, raising the quality of public services to a new level.
