More than 175 thousand cars were sold in Uzbekistan within half a year
According to the results of the first half of 2026, significant growth and structural changes were observed in the Uzbekistan automobile market. This was reported by Zamin.uz.

Based on official statistical data provided by the UzAvtosanoat joint-stock company, it can be stated that between January and June, a total of 175,374 cars were produced and found their buyers in our country. These figures confirm that local manufacturers still hold the leading position in the domestic market.

UzAuto Motors traditionally took first place in terms of production and sales volume. The company managed to sell 81,210 units of equipment during the reporting period.

Xorazm Avto took the second spot with 54,862 cars. Additionally, the ADM Jizzakh plant, whose activities have been expanding in recent years, sold 21,743 units, and BYD Uzbekistan Factory sold 17,012 cars.

The Samarkand automobile plant and Asaka Motors enterprises also contributed to the overall figures with their respective shares. Looking at the distribution of total market shares, we see that UzAuto Motors accounted for 46.3 percent of sales.

Xorazm Avto's share was 31.3 percent, ADM Jizzakh 12.4 percent, and BYD Uzbekistan Factory 9.7 percent. In terms of brands, Chevrolet maintained absolute leadership, topping the list with 136,072 cars.

The following positions were occupied by Chinese and South Korean brands, namely BYD, Kia, Chery, and Haval. Analysis by vehicle type shows that compact cars in the Sedan-B category remain the most popular among Uzbek buyers.

Nearly 35 percent of total sales fell exactly into this category. Additionally, demand for light commercial vehicles and SUVs also remains high.

In terms of models, the Cobalt car was found to be the most sought-after model, with 40,936 units sold. Following it were the Damas, Tracker, Labo, and Onix models.

At the same time, modern crossovers and hybrid cars are also strengthening their position in the market. In particular, models such as the Kia Sonet, BYD Song Plus, and Haval M6 attracted buyers' attention and demonstrated high sales figures.

These figures show that in the first half of 2026, the Uzbekistan automobile market is not only growing quantitatively, but the variety of models offered is also becoming richer.
