The length of the new generation BYD Seagull model has increased by 425 millimeters, reaching 4205 millimeters. The wheelbase has also expanded by 150 millimeters, reaching 2650 millimeters.
For comparison, the brand's higher-end model, the BYD Dolphin, has a length of 4280 millimeters. Such a significant change transforms the Seagull model from a small vehicle intended solely for city driving into a spacious family hatchback.
The increase in dimensions has also positively affected the car's interior capabilities. While the previous model was designed for four passengers, the updated version is now equipped with a five-seat cabin for the first time.
The car's width is 1810 millimeters, and its height is 1570 millimeters. This provides even greater comfort and spaciousness for the driver and passengers.
Moreover, the increased space in the rear seats enhances the model's competitiveness. Technically, significant growth has also been observed.
The new BYD Seagull is equipped with a permanent magnet synchronous electric motor producing 129 horsepower. The vehicle is fitted with lithium-iron-phosphate batteries manufactured by Fudi Battery, a company within BYD's group.
