
The list of nominees for the 2025 Booker Prize has been announced. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
The organization’s representatives stated this. The judging panel is chaired by Irish writer Roddy Doyle, who won the Booker Prize in 1993.
According to their information, out of a total of 153 works, six were shortlisted. The shortlisted works are as follows: "The Remaining Life" by Ben Markovits, "The Lamp" by Susan Choi, "Listener" by Keti Kitamura, "Winter Land" by Andrew Miller, "Materialism" by David Szalay, and "The Solitude of Soni and Sanni" by Kiran Desai.
Three writers have entered this list for the first time. Miller and Szalay have been nominees before, while Desai won the Booker Prize in 2006.
The winner’s name will be announced at a ceremony held in London on November 10. The best novel’s author will receive a prize of 50,000 pounds sterling.
As a reminder, the Booker Prize was established in 1969 and is one of the most prestigious international awards in the field of literature.
