Federal prosecutors have filed a motion in court seeking to sentence the famous rapper Sean Combs, also known as P.Diddy, to 11 years in prison and impose a $500,000 fine. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
According to court documents, the prosecution is demanding a prison term of at least 135 months for the rapper. The final verdict is expected to be announced on Friday, October 3, in New York City.
P.Diddy's lawyers, however, are requesting a lighter sentence, asking for imprisonment not exceeding 14 months. They also emphasize that the one-year pre-trial detention should be counted towards the total sentence.
It is worth noting that at the beginning of July, the jury found P.Diddy guilty of recruiting women into prostitution. However, he was acquitted of more serious charges related to leading a criminal organization and sex trafficking.
The court proceedings are ongoing, and the final decision will be announced in the coming days.
