The Hollywood Reporter published this information. According to sources, the cost of each episode ranged from 50 to 60 million dollars.
For comparison, an average of 30 million dollars was spent on each episode in the fourth season. Therefore, the new season is considered one of the most expensive series in the company's history.
The latest season consists of a total of eight episodes, with durations ranging from one and a half to two hours. The series will be released in three stages: the first four episodes on November 26, the next three on December 25, and the final finale on December 31.
The events continue in the fall of 1987, after the fourth season. The heroes fight together once again to find the missing Vecna character and unite in the final battle.
Filming of the series was completed in December 2024. According to actor David Harbour, who plays the role of Jim Hopper, the chief of the city police, the final episode is very moving, and the actors could not hold back their tears while reading the script.
