
The script of the film “Andrey Rublyov” by the famous Russian filmmaker Andrey Tarkovsky is being put up for auction. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
The auction will be organized by Litfond on April 24, according to the Moscow City Information Agency. The starting price of the script is set at 300,000 rubles.
This copy includes the director's personal notes, sketches, and comments about the film, making it a unique and valuable exhibit. Other artifacts related to the film will also be offered at the auction.
These include photographs from the archive of producer and artist Pavel Safonov, creative sketches, portraits of Tarkovsky, as well as images depicting one of the filming locations — the Izborsk fortress. The film “Andrey Rublyov” is dedicated to the life and creative pursuits of a talented icon painter who lived in the 14th century.
The film deeply portrays his spiritual struggles, faith, and aspiration towards art. Through this three-hour work, Tarkovsky extensively analyzes themes of the human spirit, belief, and mysticism.
This film is recognized as one of the most important works of Russian cinematography.
