
Renowned Indian actor Dharmendra, whose full name is Dharmendra Keval Krishan Deol, passed away at the age of 89. This was reported by Zamin.uz.

Dharmendra participated in over 250 films during his career. Among his most famous films are works such as "My Country", "Flower and Stone", and "Ali Baba and the Forty Thieves".
Notably, the film "Ali Baba and the Forty Thieves" was shot in Uzbekistan and Tajikistan, with Dharmendra playing the lead role. Dharmendra was born on December 8, 1935, in the city of Nasrali, India.
He entered the field of cinematography in the 1960s with the film "Dil Bhi Tera Hum Bhi Tere". Throughout his career, he was known not only as an actor but also as a politician.
From 2004 to 2009, he served as a member of parliament representing the Bharatiya Janata Party. Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi regarded his passing as the end of an entire era in Indian cinema and expressed warm thoughts about Dharmendra's place in the film world.
He called Dharmendra's work legendary, emphasizing that each of his roles was enriched with unique charm and meaning. Dharmendra's death was a great loss for Indian cinema.
