Outside the US, the film earned another 400 million dollars, of which 272 million dollars came from the Chinese market. The total global earnings during the opening weekend reached 556 million dollars, making it the fourth most successful start in film history and an absolute record holder among animated films.
The film’s success is explained by the popularity of the first part, the convenient timing during the holiday, and high audience ratings. For example, on the Rotten Tomatoes platform, the film received a 95% rating, and CinemaScore gave it an “A” grade.
According to analysts, “Zveropolis 2” may become Disney’s next billion-dollar project. At the same time, the musical film “Evil.
Part 2” also earned 93 million dollars during the weekend, bringing its total earnings to 393 million dollars.
