Hideo Kojima: "Creativity is a natural need"

Legendary game designer Hideo Kojima shared his thoughts on his attitude towards creativity, emphasizing that he does not consider it an extraordinary talent. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
According to him, the process of generating new ideas is a natural state of human daily needs—similar to sleeping or eating. This was reported by Playground.ru.
In an interview with Wired, Kojima answered questions from fans. He was asked how he understands creativity not professionally, but in a human sense.
He admitted that it is difficult to give a precise definition of creativity, but in his personal opinion, creativity is neither a special mood nor a rare gift. He said that he starts thinking as soon as he wakes up and this process continues until he falls asleep.
When a new idea arises, he imagines it, shapes it as a concept, and tries to implement it in practice as soon as possible. Kojima added that this way of thinking is not unique to him but is also found in many creators.
In his view, creative thinking resembles an internal mechanism that constantly drives a person forward. Additionally, Kojima said he cannot imagine removing creativity from his daily life.
According to him, creativity is a part of his personality, and he does not regard this process as a particularly remarkable phenomenon.
