In the weddings of Khorezm, the "birrovi" is the most expensive singer Feruza Jumaniyozova, who is 41 years old
On February 14, the famous singer Feruza Jumaniyozova, who won the love of fans with her songs “Yalla habibi” and “Kel azizim,” turned 41. In connection with this, we will take a look into the inner world of the singer who distanced herself from creativity due to a several-year “ban,” gained weight due to stress, and has now returned to active creativity, as reported by Daryo publication.

Reason for the break in creativity
— The reason for my break in creativity was my weight gain. I started to feel ashamed of my appearance because I used to go on stage looking ideal. In such a situation, I didn’t want to be seen by my fans. I was only busy with raising my children, which would be a mistake to say. That’s why I only attended weddings. For a woman, being satisfied with her appearance is very important. Inshaallah, I intend to hold a concert on a big stage.
“When I was banned, I saw people's true faces”
— There is quite a difference between the Feruza of 20 years ago and the current Feruza. Because I became a mother. I became a housewife. I do not regret this. There is a significant difference between my previous and current worldview. I got to know people. When I was at the star level, my fans and friends who were ready to give their lives for me left when I was banned. No one remained by my side. On one hand, my being banned and sitting down served as a test for me. I got to know those who walked beside me well.

“We came to Tashkent sitting on one seat with my mother”
— Our arrival in Tashkent was very interesting. Even if I look back, I cry and rejoice. At that time, I regretted being an artist. I would cry, “Why are we suffering, dear mother?” Now when I think about it, those days have become a memory for me. Now if someone asks, “Will you return to those days?” I would say without hesitation, “I will return.” One should not be afraid of difficulties in life. The difficulties I faced later served for good.
The singer who left medicine for art
— I studied at a medical college in 1999. I told my mother, “I will be a singer.” My mother said, “You should be a doctor, where did this come from?” I replied, “Even if I become a singer, I will be a good one.” Since my mother was an artist herself, she said, “Okay, sing for me, if I like it, I will agree.” My mother expected me to sing Khorezm songs. But I wanted to sing in the pop genre. My mother said, “This path is a difficult one. The capital is a river, and we are a small stream. Don’t set your sights that high,” she said. But I did not agree.

First steps in art
— Winning this first place was not the finish line I was expecting. After the selection contest, we returned home. Later, the “Star Show” was held. At that time, we were invited. After that, did luck smile at me, creativity began.
“After coming to Tashkent, the real difficulties began”
— There were many difficulties in terms of finances. My mother and I came to Tashkent sitting on one seat of a bus. One day I remember, I was sitting on my mother’s lap, and she got very tired and asked the soldier sitting next to us to give me a little space and stand. He replied, “I’m tired too, aunt, I’m serving,” and did not agree. So I sat on my mother’s lap until we reached our destination. At that time, we didn’t have money to buy a ticket for two seats. Now when I think about it, the difficulties I faced after coming to Tashkent are nothing compared to those hardships. There were various accusations. You are a virgin daughter of a mother. Imagine how heavy it would be for your mother to hear, “Your daughter was with my husband?”
“No one can be a friend to a person other than a mother”
— You can find friends in art, but not among artists. Because an artist will never be a friend to another artist. I do not believe that one person can be a friend to another. For a person, only a mother can be a friend. I have not found a friend like my mother in life.
For your information, Feruza Jumaniyozova's mother, Zuhra Jumaniyozova, passed away in April 2024.

“I will not forgive betrayal”
— If a person violates my trust, I will close the doors of my heart to them. When I see them, I might say hello. But that person will be a closed door for me. If a person betrays you, how can you bring them into your home and let them sit on your sofa? I had fans who would give their lives for me, who would write me letters by the meter, and students who said they would die without me. But when the time came, they didn’t invite me to their wedding, they couldn’t even write a single SMS.
Unexpected “ban”
— In 2007, I was banned. I was about to hold a concert at “Friendship of Peoples,” banners were hung, advertisements were going. They said, “The concert is canceled, you are banned.” I asked, “Why? What is the reason?” No one answered my questions. Six or seven years passed, but the ban was not lifted. My mother and I did not leave a place we didn’t go to, nor a door we didn’t knock on. But we did not hear a reasonable answer. Not knowing the reason for the ban plunges a person into despair. That was when I had my first stress and began to gain weight. My fans would ask when I would hold a concert, but I couldn’t answer them. Perhaps I should have continued my creativity even in that situation, but I fell into despair and couldn’t get out of the shock.
Who is the happiest woman?
— The happiest woman is the one who can keep her family together. Even if she has no money, no expensive car, no house, and even if she doesn’t have a beautiful dress, a woman with a husband and children is the happiest woman in the world.
For your information, one of Feruza Jumaniyozova's hit songs, “Yalla habibi,” has been performed in Uzbek by representatives of various nationalities. In particular, this song has also been sung by a girl named Leyla, who belongs to the Arab nationality.
The version performed by 15-year-old Yumna Ajin from India has also become quite popular.
“Birrov” service is the most expensive Khorezm singer
According to reports, Feruza Jumaniyozova charges $5000 to sing for half an hour at weddings in Khorezm. This is considered the highest price compared to other Khorezm singers. In particular, Og'abek Sobirov, who is referred to as the “Bulbul of Khorezm,” goes to Khorezm weddings for $3000.
