Dialogues to reform the culture and art sector are about to begin

In Uzbekistan, with the aim of fundamentally reforming the field of culture and art and bringing it to a new stage, a broad season of open dialogues is set to begin. These meetings, organised on the instruction of the President, will bring together representatives of the sector, creative people and entrepreneurs on a single platform.
The events are held with the participation of the leadership of the Administration of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Ministry of Culture. It is also planned that the Minister Ozodbek Nazarbekov will take an active part in these dialogues. According to the plan, the meetings will be held on 20–25 April 2026 according to the approved schedule.
The main goal of these dialogues is to openly discuss existing problems in the sector and find practical solutions for them. A number of important areas will be covered within the framework of the open dialogues. In particular, cinema and animation, theatre and circus arts, literature and creative activity, as well as the field of music and dance will be considered separately. At the same time, the focus of the discussion will also include issues of crafts, museum activities, archaeology and the creation of quality content for children.
Citizens wishing to participate in the dialogues can register through a special Telegram bot. Registered participants will be able to attend the meetings according to the approved schedule.
This initiative is expected to launch a new stage of reform in the development of the country culture and art. This, in turn, will serve to create wide opportunities for creators and to address systemic problems in the field.
