The poet known by the pen name Jahongir Mirzo has committed suicide.

Young poet and writer who created under the pseudonym Jahongir Mirzo, as well as a student of the University of Journalism and Mass Communications of Uzbekistan, Jahongir Nomozov, was found dead in his home. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
According to preliminary information, he committed suicide. This tragic incident occurred on April 15 in Pop district of Namangan region.
According to the District Department of Internal Affairs, authorities arrived at the scene around 1:00 PM. Jahongir Nomozov, born on January 24, 1997, had committed suicide by hanging himself with a rope in the bathroom of his home.
An investigation is being conducted by the district prosecutor's office prior to the formal inquiry. According to the forensic examination conclusion, the cause of death was mechanical asphyxiation due to compression of the neck.
No other injuries were found on the body aside from the mark on the neck. Jahongir Nomozov was known as a representative of modern Uzbek literature, a poet, translator, and active journalist.
He worked as a representative of Uzbekistan for a literary journal in Turkey, served as a coordinator for an international writers' group, and was a member of several international associations. He was also a recipient of the "Abay" medal.
Jahongir Nomozov's poems have been translated into English, Azerbaijani, and Turkish, and his works have been published in international anthologies and literary platforms. His works such as "Dream" and "Song of Trust" have gained international recognition.
This incident is considered a profound loss for the literary community and his loved ones.
