The volume of vegetable production increased in Uzbekistan

According to preliminary data from the National Statistics Committee, a total of 3.3 million tons of melons were produced by all types of farms in Uzbekistan in 2025. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
This figure represents a 16.2 percent increase compared to 2024. The highest result by region belongs to Jizzakh region, where 430,634 tons of melons were produced.
Following are Sirdaryo region with 417,796 tons and Surxondaryo region with 379,753 tons. Qashqadaryo region with 286,325 tons and Andijan region with 269,432 tons occupy the next positions.
These numbers indicate intensified competition among regions in the melon growing sector and an increase in supply volume in the market. The answer to the question "Who produced more?" during the melon season is clear: currently, Jizzakh region leads.
This situation may further strengthen competition between regions and encourage improvement in product quality. Thus, positive changes are observed in melon production across the country.
