The Deputy Ministers of Justice and Internal Affairs have been relieved of their duties

Deputy Minister of Justice Khudoyor Meliyev and Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs — Head of the Operational-Search Department, Colonel Shavkat Rahmonov have been dismissed from their positions. This information has been confirmed by the press services of both ministries.
It is reported that Khudoyor Meliyev was dismissed on his birthday — February 24. No official information regarding his resignation has been announced yet. Additionally, there is no information on the reasons for his dismissal or which position he has been appointed to. His position is listed as “vacant” on the official ministry website.

Khudoyor Meliyev
Khudoyor Meliyev Khurramovich was born in 1980. He had been serving as Deputy Minister since January 2019. He graduated from the Tashkent State Law Institute. Throughout his career, he has held various responsible positions in the Ministry of Justice. Prior to his deputy position, he served as the head of the Legislative Department of the Ministry of Justice.
Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs Shavkat Rahmonov has also been removed from his position. No information has been provided regarding this, but information about him has been deleted from the official website.
Colonel Shavkat Rahmonov previously held leadership positions in the Internal Affairs Departments of Khorezm region (2017–2019), Samarkand region (2019–2022), and Namangan region (2022–2023). Since February 2023, he had been serving as the First Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of Uzbekistan – Head of the Operational-Search Department.
General-Lieutenant Po‘lat Bobojonov, who has been managing the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Uzbekistan since September 2017, left his position on March 3, 2025, as he became an advisor to the president.
